Anne Baker, MA, LMHC

I have over 10 years of experience working clinically with teens and young adults. My practice focuses on treating clients ages 12-25. I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and school adjustment issues. Prior to entering private practice, I worked in high schools in eastern Massachusetts and the Capital District and have also worked as a clinician within the juvenile justice system in Massachusetts. Trained as an art therapist, I provide solution-focused treatment, utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques, and other theoretical approaches tailored to meet the needs of my clients. My areas of treatment specialization include depression, anxiety, acute and complex trauma, gender and sexuality concerns, ADHD and behavior management issues, and parent-child relationship and communication problems. I work in a very solution-focused way, with the goal of helping clients heal as quickly as they are able, because you've got more exciting things to do with your life than be in therapy.

I work to create an intentionally anti-racist, gender-and-sexuality affirming, neurodiversity-affirming body-positive space. I believe that my clients are the experts on their own experience, and my role is to help them explore and accept themselves as they are, while addressing and resolving thought and emotional patterns that are causing them distress. I have taken the Health At Every Size Pledge.
